| Description |
English: Bench Mark on Malvern Priory Church Next to the small entrance door in the side of the north transept.
A bolt with a slot in the head can be seen at the centre of the horizontal cut mark. This bench mark was used during the First primary levelling, England & Wales, and was levelled with a height of 431.7940 feet [131.6108 metres] above mean sea level (Liverpool datum). It was included on the Manchester to Gloucester (Branch Levelling [from Powick] to Great Malvern) levelling line. The surveyor's description was :- "No. 14. Bolt in side of small door in North Transept of Great Malvern Church ; 6.21 ft. above surface" This has been given the Waypoint number BT1680. http://www.bench-marks.org.uk/bm31922 |
