Description
Deutsch: Das Haus Stiller in der Oranienstraße 161 in Berlin-Kreuzberg. Das Geschäftshaus wurde 1910-1912 nach einem Entwurf des Architekten Oskar Kaufmann erbaut, der auch ursprünglicher Besitzer war. Ab 1924 gehörte es dem Schuhhändler Reinhold Stiller, dessen Firma von Beginn an die Geschäftsräume des Hauses genutzt hatte. Das Gebäude ist als Baudenkmal gelistet. Außerdem ist es Bestandteil des denkmalgeschützten Bauensembles Oranienstraße.
English: The House Stiller at Oranienstraße No. 161 in Berlin-Kreuzberg. The commercial building was constructed from 1910 to 1912 to a design by Oskar Kaufmann, who was also its original owner. It was taken over by the shoe retailer Reinhold Stiller in 1924, whose firm had rented the business premises earlier. The building has been designated as a cultural heritage monument. It is also part of the protected historic buildings area Oranienstraße.
