Description
Deutsch: Das ehemalige Pfarrhaus der Petrigemeinde an der Friedrichsgracht 53-55 auf der Spreeinsel in Berlin-Mitte. Die Gemeinde der im Zweiten Weltkrieg zerstörten Petrikirche ließ das Haus 1885/1886 von einem unbekannten Architekten im neugotischen Stil als Ziegelbau mit Sandsteingliederungen errichten. Das von modernen Mietshäusern umgebene Haus ist eines von wenigen original erhaltenen Gebäuden an der Friedrichsgracht. Es steht unter Denkmalschutz.
English: The former rectory of Petrikirche at 53-55 Friedrichsgracht on Spreeinsel in Berlin-Mitte. The congregation of Petrikirche (destroyed in WWII) commissioned this building and it was erected from 1885 to 1886. The architect, whose name is not known, designed a brick building with sandstone elements in the style of Gothic Revival architecture. It is one of only a few preserved historical buildings at Friedrichsgracht and is now surrounded by modern apartment buildings. It is landmarked.
