Description
English: The former Generaltelegrafenamt in Berlin-Mitte, corner of Jägerstraße and Wallstraße. On the far right is the oldest part of the complex on Oberwallstraße, built 1864 by architects Wilhelm Salzenberg and Adolph Lohse. It once housed the first telegraph office in Germany. The corner building in the center was erected in 1902 as a connection to the Generaltelegrafenamt building on Jägerstraße. Its two facades are quite different, because each was adapted to the older building it is attached to.
