Deutsch: Mietshaus und Gewerbebau in der Wallstraße 84 in Berlin-Mitte, 1872 für die Eisenwarenhandlung Lademann errichtet. Die rückwärtigen Gebäudeteile ziehen sich bis zur Kaimauer des Spreekanals hin und sind ein Überrest der einstmals geschlossenen Bebauung an dieser Stelle. Die oberen drei Wohngeschosse sind farblich und durch die Wandvorlagen sowie den Balkon vom Geschäftsbereich im Erdgeschoss abgehoben. Die kreisrunden Fenster im Erdgeschoss besitzen aufwändig gefertigte schmiedeeiserne Gitter. Das Gebäude ist als Baudenkmal ausgewiesen.
English: Tenement and small business building at Wallstraße No. 84 in Berlin-Mitte, built 1872 for the hardware store Lademann. The rearward parts of the building reach the quay wall of Spreekanal and are a remnant of the attached building development, which once characterized this part of the city. The lighter wall color, the engaged columns and the balcony of the upper three floors distinguish the residential area of the front building from the business premises on the ground floor. The circular windows of the ground floor are furnished with elaborate wrought-iron grilles. The building has been designated as a historic landmark. |
