Description

Axel-Springer-Hochhaus, the 19-story headquarters of Axel Springer Verlag. The building was built next to the Berlin Wall, near Checkpoint Charlie. It was opened in 1966. Axel Springer Verlag is the largest publisher of newspapers and magazines in Europe. The low building is the printing plant.

I visited Axel Springer Verlag to ask for copies of two articles from the Berliner Morgenpost, which I had remembered reading during my first trip to Berlin in 1963. The Morgenpost is Berlin's largest newspaper.
