Description AWM caption : "France. c. 1918. A German 28cm railway gun with some of its crew. The complete train, including the gun and all the crew, were captured near Harbonnieres on 8 August 1918 by troops of the Australian 8th Infantry Brigade. The gun is commonly known as the `Amiens gun' and the barrel is now in the collection of the Australian War Memorial. "
