Description
Deutsch: Besetzung der beiden Städte Hanau am 12. und 13.2.1638, bezeichnet oben links Statt und Vestung= / Hanau durch einen an= / schlag wiederumb erobert Mon. und Dinstag den 22/12= / 23/13 = Februarij Anno 1638 Kupferstich, zeigt die Befreiung Hanaus von der schwedischen Besatzung unter de:Jakob von Ramsay durch de:Johann Winter von Güldenborn. Die Landschaft wurde durch den Kupferstecher von dem bekannten Belagerungsplan Matthäus Merians übernommen, die Schanzen entfernt und andere Truppen eingesetzt (siehe dazu H. Bott, Hanauer Geschichtsblätter 18, 1962 S. 219). Aufgrund der doppelten Datierung nach altem und neuem Stil ist das Werk im 17. Jahrhundert anzusetzen, siehe Quelle S. 166.
