Description
Nederlands: De gemeenteraad van Beuningen heeft dinsdagavond besloten om het zand van de Beuningse Plas met vrachtwagens af te voeren richting kanaal. Het is de bedoeling dat aan de Westkanaaldijk een overslagplaats komt, waar het zand wordt overgezet op schepen.

Tegenstemmen Voorafgaand aan de raadsvergadering was bekend dat BN&M het collegevoorstel zou steunen, terwijl de oppositiepartijen VVD, CDA,

GroenLinks en PvdA zouden tegenstemmen. Daarmee vervulde D66 een sleutelrol. D66-fractievoorzitter Roel Kuppens zei dat er nog maar één realistische optie mogelijk is, namelijk transport over de weg.
