Español: Biblioteca Pública de la Universidad Michoacana ubicada en Av. Madero Poniente esquina con Nigromante, Centro Histórico de Morelia, Michoacán, México. Fundada en 1930, conserva un fondo bibliográfico antiguo de 22,901 volúmenes, que van desde el siglo XV hasta principios del siglo XX.
El edificio donde tiene su sede la biblioteca fue un templo de los Jesuitas durante la época del Virreinato de la Nueva España, construido en el siglo XVII en estilo barroco. En su interior la biblioteca conserva murales al fresco pintado a mediados del siglo XX por los artistas estadounidenses Hollis Howard Holbrook, S. C. Schoneberg y R. Hansen así como del mexicano Antonio Silva Díaz. |
