Description
English: Avantiswami Temple was built by King Avantiverman in the latter half of the 9th century and dedicated to Vishnu; it is in ruins now though parts of it still survive and it is in the care of the Archaeological Survey of India. Sent to Miss Suzanne Chereau, 5 Rue du Pout du East, Blois (Loir et Chex), France: "'Tower House' East Cantonment Road Moulmein L. [Lower] Burma India Thanks so much for p.c. [postcard] I hope you will like this one. With kind regards. A.G. Murray."
