The Rufous-backs stayed,built a nest in a holly-bush, directly in front of my bedroom window, andoverhanging my bee-hive; a chttch of eggs was duly laid, and in due courselliev lirought forth three young birds, which arc now with their parentsdisporting al)out my grounds. By the Lady Dunleath. I liave now a i^ood many birds, mostly ordinary species,in my aviary. haNini^- added a few more at intervals as oppor-tunity occurred. One, a (llossy Starlint;- (Lamprocornischalvbcus), is a facsimile of the one which lived here for tenyears; another, a Military Starling (Trupialis Diilitaris), is thefirst I have ever had of this species -these two I got fromGamages.
