English: Bird of prey, Coombe Park By John Wakefield. Carved from the trunk of a dead sycamore tree in the woodland area of Coombe Park. There is also a badger peeking out from the lower part, looking extremely worried as it's dwarfed by the bird. The pictures on John Wakefield's site ( http://www.johnwakefield.co.uk/index.php?pg=galleries&gallery=0 ), show that there was originally another bird at the top, but some time between Jun and Nov 2006 it migrated. |
