He was not shyduring his stay and constantly affordedfine opportunities for careful observationof his markings. His great activity ofmovement presented the only difficulty ofremaining near him. Then well wetted, he roseinto a double-flowered peach tree and inhappiness finished his morning toilet. Itseemed a pity that there was but one ob-server of this dainty proceeding, but so itwas. Upon other days and at other timesthere were many interested observers, whoavailed of the rare opportunity of becom-ing acquainted with a full-plumaged CapeMay Warbler often voicing himself in song. A second record of the species was of afemale bird seen on May 26, 1905, and notremaining to a second day.
