English: Bishop's Palace, courtyard Chambers and domestic quarters were ranged around a courtyard, providing accommodation for the bishop, his staff and retainers, and guests.
Despite the munificence of the palace it fell into disuse during the C16 as bishops were unwilling to travel further west than Carmarthen. Under wraps on the right is the raised porch leading the magnificent Great Hall. For information and plan, see http://www.thislandwales.com/bishopspalace.htm |
