Bjarni Þorkelsson singing Björt mey og hrein, an old folk song with lyrics by Stefán Ólafsson (1619-1688). Originally a Polish folk song and found in Joh. Herman Schein's 1627 collection. Notes of the Icelandic version were published by Bjarni Þorsteinsson in Íslensk þjóðlög (1906-1909). This recording was made by Jón Pálsson sometime between 1903 and 1912 with Edison's phonograph.
