Summary edit

Description
English: Black Bryony in hedge beside the footpath. Black Bryony (Tamus communis) > 1586389 is a very common plant in woods and hedges. Its stems twine around anything within reach and ascend or creep among the trees and bushes to a considerable distance. The plant is Great Britain's only member of this family of twining and climbing plants which generally spring from large tubers, some of which are cultivated for food such as the Yam. Black bryony, however, ranks as a dangerous and irritant poison. This public footpath passes from Mulbarton Common over a stile into St Mary Magdalen's > https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1584638 churchyard, the southern edge of which it traverses. It meets an unsurfaced lane > https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1583892 leading eastwards to an unnamed road > https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1583870 that links Swardeston and Swainsthorpe.
