Summary edit

Description

A 3-sided pen with a ceiling is made by using wood and chicken wire, and then baited with deer and beaver carcasses, to serve as a trap to attract nearly 75 Black Vultures in and around the immediate area of the pen. The numbers of the birds are considered a nuisance at Dutch Gap, where an effort is underway to eliminate hundreds of them.
