Description
English: Blackthorn: prunus spinosa Along with the Apple, Hawthorn and Rowan, Blackthorn is a member of the important Rosaceae family, belonging to the genus 'Prunus'. It is the most common and widespread member of the Plum genus in Great Britain and the flowers appear before the leaves festooning hedge rows with a haze of white blossom in early spring.
