Description
English: The Blackwater Fort at present-day Blackwatertown in Co. Armagh, built by the Earl of Essex during a foray into Ulster in 1575 and captured and destroyed by the Irish in 1595. This pen and ink sketch measures 22½ by 16½ inches and is dated 27 March 1587.
