Summary edit

Description
English: Blaen-y-Cwm Viaduct, Gwynedd. The Great Western Railway's single line from Bala Junction to Blaenau Ffestiniog passed through magnificent scenery. At the isolated Cwm Prysor Halt it reached the summit of the line at about 1,300ft and then dropped down into the Cwm Prysor, initially on the spectacular narrow Bryncelynog ledge, following the Afon Prysor to Trawsfynydd. This nine-arch viaduct carried the line over the Afon Prysor at the head of the valley and today is near the start of a 5½ mile courtesy footpath down to Trawsfynydd.
