DescriptionBletchley with Up 'Merseyside Express' passing geograph-2741527-by-Ben-Brooksbank.jpg |
English: Up 'Merseyside Express' passing Bletchley. View northward, towards Rugby, Birmingham and the North: WCML. By 1963, the 'Merseyside EXpress' (10.00 Liverpool Lime Street - Euston) was normally Diesel-hauled, but on this occasion a Diesel failure necessitated substitution with Rebuilt 'Royal Scot' 7P 4-6-0 No. 46125 '3rd Carabinier' (built 9/27 as 'Sans Pareil', renamed 1935, rebuilt 8/43, withdrawn 10/64). |
