The U.S. Navy flight demonstration team Blue Angels 1946 team in front of one of their Grumman F8F-1 Bearcat.

Original caption: "By August '46 the Blue Angels were already winning honors. First five-man team was Cassidy, Taddeo, Voris, Wickendoll, and Robinson." (Lt. Robinson was killed in September 1946 while performing a "Cuban Eight" maneuver during an airshow when a wingtip broke off his Bearcat sending him into an unrecoverable spin.)
