| Description |
English: Boat-launching crane, Preston Dock The blue crane with red cable carriage at the west end of the dock enables small boats to be transferred into and out of the water from and to a trailer. Between the legs of the crane can be seen the tall spire of St Walburge's Church. The rails in the road in the foreground belong to the Ribble Steam Railway, which operates a tourist passenger service the length of the docklands and also freight trains for a tar distillation plant. |
