Terwyl hy siek is word hy op 12 Mei 1900 by Kroonstad deur die Britte gevange geneem. Teks: "Vieldcornet Thrin's men / near Ladysmith Natal / 1900.".
English: Fieldcornet Thring's commando in the Boer War, near Ladysmith, Natal, South Africa, 1900. Lester Thring was an Irishman who described himself as "an English-speaking Afrikander with an English name". On 12 May 1900, while ill, he was taken captive by the British at Kroonstad. Text: "Vieldcornet Thrin's men / near Ladysmith Natal / 1900.".
