277 Bolgiano's I. X. L. Tomato After Twelve Years' Trial in Virginia On August 25.1917. Mr. J. B. Taylor, of Alleghany Co., Va., wrote: "As regards Bolgiano's I. X. L. Tomatoes, you will find that I have bought the I. X. L. seed from you for 12 years, and have not m issed a year. They are all 0. K. in every respect, yield more and larger To- mafoes than any thai I have ever tried." Wonderfully Prolific A Week Earlier Than Earliana. More Productive Than Chalk's Jewel As Large as the Great B. B. As Solid as the New Century One of the World's Leading Extremely Early Tomatoes Price: Pkt. lOc. V2 Or. 35c. Oz. 65c. 2 Ozs. $1.10. 1/4 Lb. $2.00. 1/2 Lb. $3.75. Lb. $7.50. Postpaid. 1. One of the Earliest, Largest, absolutely smooth Tomatoes on Earth. A week earlier than the "Earliana" and as large as the "Grea" B. B." 2. A beautiful brilliant red color. 3. Vines are a perfect mass of large, smooth fruit, a single plant yielding V2 bushel 4. Fruit extremely early enormously abundant, ripens all at once. 5. Vines compact and can be placed two feet apart in three foot rows. 6. As an extremely early prolific stem setter it is a wonder. 7. The absence of unnecessary leaves permits all fruit to ripen so remarkably early. 8. it is almost like finding money to plant the I. X. L. Tomato. 9. The largest growers tell us that we cannot say too much in favor of the 1. X. L. Tomato. 10. In twelve years it has never disappointed a grower. In Market Gardener's Field Tests. I. X. L. Tomato proved to be a week to ten days earlier than the Spark's Earliana, with an abundance of fruit larger and more prolific than Chalk's Jewel: in fact, any number of specimens could be found as large as the Great B. B. Tomato. It has little more vine and leaves than the Wealthy Tomato, thus protecting the blossoms from being easily knocked off by heavy rains or winds; also pro- tecting the fruit from being sunburned or scalded. The I. X. L. Tomato is without a single exception the Leading Extremely Early Tomato, and while many of the most experienced Tomato growers tell us we cannot say too much in favor of this excellent Early Tomato, there are many who have not yet grown it. To them, we say again, do not experiment with it but plant your entire early crop in I. X. L. Tomato. Your crop will net you big returns. We stake our reputation on I. X. L. I. X. L. Brings Highest Price On August 20. 1917. Mr. Herman Tice, if Pear Grow Farms, Bergen Co.. N. J., wrote: "/ alivuys plant B:tlgiano^s I. X. L. Tomato seed for early, as I do not think there is any Tomato on the market equal to it. It is the earliest Tomato I have ever had. of good size and fine quality. The weather condition this year has not been very good; in the first place, it was a little too wet and later loo dry. Bat I have had the finest crop of I. X. L. Tomatoes this year that anyone could have, and they bring the highest price on the market." After Thirty Years' Trial in Kansas On Augu.it 23. 1917, Mr. .T. ,4. Peppnn. of Barber Co., Kansas, wrote: "I have raised Tomatoes in this community for .30 years, having tried many kinds, but like the I. X. L. the be.<:t of any. The I. X. L. begins ripening early, yet tve get more ripe Tomatoes from them after the tops are frosted than from any other variety. We have an abundance of green Tomatoes, when cold weather compels us to pick them." I. X. L. Tomato the Only Kind that Pays in Texas On Augu.^t 2, 1917. Mrs. .7. M. Ellison, of La Salle Co.. Tex., urate: "I have been planting Bolgiano's I. X. L. Tomato for the last 8 or 9 years, along with other varities. and fimd thai the I. X. L. Tomatos are the only kind thai pays in this locality. Other varieties tiiill grow large plants and pat on an abundance of bloom, but never any fruil. This has been a very dry season, not a single rain fell on my Tomatoes from the lime they were planted until the crop was o(f, which was very good considering the xveather conditions. I have decided not to plant any other kind here except the I. X. L., as my experience has taught me that they are the only Tomatoes that pay in this county." After Ten Years' Trial in North Carolina On August 16. 1917, Mr. W. T. Cannady, of Pender Co.. TV. C. wrote: "As to BiAqiano's I. X. L. Tomato I can .say it is the best Tomato I have ever planted. I have been planting it for the past ten years and plant no other kind, either late or early; it makes a nice, smooth red Tomato and sells ivelt. J find them all I desireâan Al Tomato." 3E ElE 3E EiE E3E 3e; ElE 3C )E 3E .J
