This building, originally covering the Southwest corner of 2nd and Pike, was built in 1891 by Josiah Collins and W.E. Bailey. Bon Marché occupied a portion of the building from 1896-1902 when it was replaced by their first purpose-built store which would eventually cover more than half of the block. Note the visible "1425" and "1427" addresses.
