Description |
English: Charcoal drawing in the Caestert quarries near Maastricht, the Netherlands, depicting the head reliquary in the shape of a portrait bust of Saint Servatius. The original early 15th century bust depicted here was lost in the 1579 Siege of Maastricht and replaced by Alexander Farnese, Duke of Parma, by the bust that is presently in the Treasury of Saint Servatius Basilica. |
