English: So-called Portrait of Olympia Mancini (1638-1708), niece of Cardinal Mazarin
Italiano: "Ritratto di Olimpia Mancini.
Olimpia Mancini (Roma 1638 - Bruxelles1708), era la maggiore delle cinque celebri sorelle Mancini, che insieme alle due cugine Martinozzi, furono note alla corte di Luigi XIV come Mazarinettes poichè lo zio era il Cardinale Giulio Mazzarino. Olimpia in seguito diventò la madre del generale austriaco Principe Eugenio. Fu anche coinvolta in vari intrighi di corte, tra cui il famigerato affare dei veleni, che comportò la sua espulsione dalla Francia. Il dipinto la ritrae in età giovanile e quindi è databile nella metà del XVII secolo. L'identificazione del personaggio è stata realizzata dal Francesco Petrucci, conservatore di Palazzo Chigi Ariccia, che ringraziamo vivamente"
