Description
English: The French sculptor Alfred Bottiau carried out several carvings on the capitals of the columns on each side of the entrance to the Memorial Chapel in the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery. These covered scenes from the trenches and this is a photograph of one of those carvings: Soldiers are seen here preparing for a bayonet charge.
