English: Boundary stone near Kirkby Overblow This stone bears the letters K-F for Knaresborough Forest, and is dated 1767. The stone stands on part of the southern boundary of the medieval hunting forest of Knaresborough which covered a large swathe of countryside and moorland to the west of Knaresborough across land now occupied by Harrogate and for several miles beyond. The significance of the date on the stone is unknown and more research about its history is needed. |
