Summary edit

Description
English: Bournemouth: the eternal flame - or rather, bulb This pillar was installed as part of the millennium celebrations and was meant to be an 'eternal flame'. It was given by the Bournemouth Churches Association and has the words "Jesus - Light of the World" inscribed around its base. The flame did indeed burn continuously for the first 5 or 6 years of the century (see 16383) but, for some reason, became extinguished. It now supports a beacon of light which changes colour gradually, through blues and purples and pinks.
