Notes Archery longbow once owned by William T Firth, who was a member of the One Tree Hill Archery Club in the 19th century (pre-1897). The bow, made by Peter Muir, is a tournament type longbow or archery bow. Peter Muir (1799-1886), was based in Edinburgh and was a Bowyer for the Royal Company of Archers and himself a first class archer. The donors believe this to be the only Peter Muir bow in the Southern Hemisphere (as at 2002).
