Summary edit

Description This lovely early 20th Century Dutch Colonial house is located on Boylan Avenue on the west side of Downtown Raleigh. In close proximity to the old Wake Courthouse village site, this house and several others helped to integrate the old rural community into the city's expanding urban footprint when they were built, and were constructed as an early suburban development and outgrowth of the city. Today, though they are located in an area that is often seen as being "inner-city," they maintain many more suburban features and a lot of historic charm and character.
