Description Die Gemeinde Breege gehört zum Landkreis Vorpommern im Norden der Insel Rügen. Der Ort selber liegt am Übergang der Schaabe Richtung Wittow am Breeger Bodden. Sehenswert ist der wunderschöne Jachthafen. Der bekannteste Ortsteil von Breege ist Juliusruh. In Breege gibt es noch die typischen »Kapitänshäuser« aus dem 18. und 19. Jahrhundert - heute wunderschön restauriert. Sie waren ein Zeichen für den »Ort der Seefahrer«, der auch zeitweise das reichste Dorf Rügens war. Haupterwerbszweig ist heute der Fremdenverkehr. Fischerei spielt heute fast kaum noch eine Rolle.
