English: Bridge over Redposts Drive extension, Swindon The bridge marks the line once taken by the Midland and Southwestern Junction Railway that ran south-north from Andover to Cheltenham until it closed in 1961. The road that is being built to serve the Wichelstowe development area had to break through the railway embankment necessitating the construction of the new bridge to preserve the right of way that now exists along the old trackbed.
