English: Bridge over Sutton Beck On the 19th of June 2005, this small stream became a torrent which overwhelmed this bridge, demolishing the parapet (note new stone replacements) - and very nearly taking away at least one nearby house.
The owners were catapulted into the national spotlight after being rescued from the upper floors. |
