Summary edit

Description
English: Britain's - or Scotland's - biggest plant fossil "The Garden's oldest plants are two fossilised trees of Pitys withamii, which lived 320 million years ago. One is over 10.5m long and is Scotland's largest fossil. They were uncovered between 1835 and 1865 at Craigleith, where the stone for the two palm houses was quarried." http://www.rbge.org.uk/the-gardens/edinburgh/garden-features/glasshouse-borders/fossil-garden However, the adjoining notice claims this as "Britain's biggest plant fossil" rather than merely "Scotland's". In the background is 201455.
