Summary edit

Description
English: The British Isles remained dressed primarily in green on February 25, 2018, as an approaching Siberian anti-cyclone carried frigid temperatures across the region. According to RTE News, a Status Yellow low temperature warning was in place over much of Ireland, with low temperatures expected as low as – 3°C (26.6°F), and air and ground temperatures were expected to be five to ten degrees below normal, with significant wind chill and severe frosts. Snow was expected in eastern Ireland by February 28, with ‘significant and disruptive’ accumulations in some areas.

Meanwhile, The Guardian called the storm the “beast from the east”, and warned that parts of the United Kingdom were set to feel colder than areas above the Arctic Circle this week. The Met Office issued yellow and amber weather warnings for snow in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland for most of the upcoming week. Amber warnings are more serious and mean there is a potential risk to life and property.
