Title
English: Broad St. from 5th Ave., ca. 1920
Description
English:

On verso of image: Looking East on Broad, #27 Ballard North car, via Broad, Dexter, Fremont, Leary Way, 14th NW to 70th, SMR #717 Westbound on Broad @ 5th PH Coll 266.24

  • Subjects (LCTGM): Utility poles--Washington (State)--Seattle
  • Subjects (LCSH): Broad Street (Seattle, Wash.); Fifth Avenue (Seattle, Wash.); Street-railroads--Washington (State)--Seattle; Dwellings--Washington (State)--Seattle; Automobiles--Washington (State)--Seattle

Re: "East on Broad", it really has to be northeast on Broad (which runs at 45° to the grid). Then that would be Fifth Avenue running north to the left. That parklet at left would be the location that has in the early 21st Century been the location of Ride the Ducks.

At right, one of the last remnants of Denny Hill, which was not regraded away until 1928-1929.
