| Description |
English: Broad gauge rail at Newent The Great Western Railway used their redundant broad gauge rail as fenceposts, reinforcing bar and any number of other things. Nearly a hundred and thirty years after the last broad gauge line was converted to standard gauge, much of this stuff can still be seen around the rail network. This piece was spreading the load of whatever was above the arch seen in SO7126 : Platform detail at Newent Station and has seen better days! |
