| Description |
English: Broadway Tower Broadway Tower, a landmark visible from miles around, is a folly built by the 6th Earl of Coventry in 1800. He was aged 78 at the time and there have been many suggestions as to why he did it. In all probability, it was simply that follies were a fashion item for country landowners at the time. In any case, the building can now be climbed by the public for a fee (currently £4 for adults) and there are spectacular views from the top. |
