Italiano: Giacomo Brogi (1822-1881): "Milano. Panorama". 1870-1880 circa. L'immagine mostra Porta Ticinese a Milano ancora operante come casello daziario: l'edificio funge infatti da ponte sulla cerchia del Naviglio, che non è attraversabile se non in quel punto. Si notano inoltre ai lati tratti delle mura spagnole, non ancora abbattute
English: Giacomo Brogi (1822-1881): "Milan. Panorama". 1870s-1880. The picture shows Porta Ticinese gate, which operated then as a bridge across the "Naviglio" canal, allowing to subject to a duty all merchandises that entered the town throgh it. In this picture, the Spanish city walls have not been demolished yet.
