English: Brunel's Work goes West. Weymouth railway station in August 1984 being demolished as part of the electrification and rebuilding of the terminus. Parts of this old wooden building, designed by Brunel in his typical style, dated back to 1857, when the railway reached Weymouth from Bristol. The open door on the side was the entrance to the parcel office. The sliding door was the goods entrance to the parcel office and the platforms. 1070463 |
