Description
English: Location of the Imperial Abbey of Buchau and Free Imperial City of Buchau. Both the abbey and the city, which were based in the same town, were independent of each other. As seen on the map, the Imperial Abbey's territory extended beyond the town. It also included the lordship of Strassberg (Straszburg on the far left of the map). Cropped from a map of Swabia published by R. Wilkinson in 1802.
