Notes
  • Significance: Buck Mountain Episcopal Church has been in continuous service since 1747. The present structure was erected in 1861, most probably from portions of the original building, located about 1 mile west. The vestry room was added about 1900. The church serves a well-to-do rural congregation of about forty and survives in excellent condition. It is considered one of the finest surviving examples of rural Virginia Greek Revival churches.
