Shells up to 10 mm long, with strongconcentric ribbing, an acuminate posterior end, andtaxodont dentition. Comparison.âThe acuminate posterior and taxo-dont dentition separate this from Corbula swiftiana,above. The concentric ribbing and acuminate posteriorseparate it from Nucula proximo, described earlier. Name.âNuculana acuta (Conrad, 1832). Biofacies.âCharacteristic of the Gulf Biofacies andfairly common in Lucina samples. Uncommon to rarein all other faunas except for Rocky Shore, where itwas not recovered.
