For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. ADN-ZB Kohls-3.11.86 Mexiko-Stadt: 4. Internationaler Marathonlauf mit größter Teilnehmerzahl-Gefeierter Ehrengast war am 28.9.1986 im Start- und Zielbereich der zweifache Marathon-Olympiasieger in Waldemar Cierpinski (DDR-l.). Während seines Aufenthaltes in Mexiko erläuterte er in zwei Seminaren mit mehr als 1000 Sportlern und Trainern sowie in Interviews mit Zeitungen, Rundfunk- und Fernsehstationen die "Geheimnisse" der sportlichen Erfolge der DDR und beantwortete spezielle Fragen zum Training des Marathonlaufs. |
