For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Mittweida, Gastarbeiter aus Mosambik Zum Beitrag: Mittweider Lehrjahre der Textilarbeiterin Houng-Berufsausbildung junger Vietnamesinnen in der DDR ADN-ZB Ritter-18.6.1987 Joao Nanelo aus Mocambique, der hier gerade im Maschinensaal der Baumwollspinnerei Mittweida im Bezirk Karl-Marx-Stadt eine Spinndüse repariert, ist bereits ein geübter Mechaniker. Gemeinsam mit etwa 100 seiner Landsleute erhielt auch er hier eine Berufsausbildung. (Hierzu gehören die Fotos 1987-0618-300N und 301N!)
