For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. Zentralbild Funck 29.9.1953 Neue Fahrzeuge der Deutschen Post Im Postfuhramt in Berlin wurden 15 neue Spezial-Elektrowagen für den Briefkastenentleerungsdienst gezeigt, die am 1.10.53 von der Oberpostdirektion in Betrieb genommen werden. Die Wagen - eine Konstruktion von Ingenieur Rebbel- wurden bei IFA-Werdau gebaut und dienen vor allem dem Schutz des Fahrers, der nur nach rechts aussteigen kann und auch vor Witterungseinflüssen geschützt ist. |
